Proxmox for Upstream Kernel (> 3.9)

Proxmox VE is a complete virtualization management solution for servers. By design it support two very popular virtualization techniques: OpenVZ and KVM. Creating Debian KVM image

Moving From WordPress to Octopress

Posted on

I moved this site from WordPress to a static site powered by Octopress. Why? First, it’s more secure as there’s no need to maintain web hosting system, update WordPress, plugins, etc. In addition the site management is beatifull. You simple write all posts, project pages and portofolio pages using Markdown. It's much more simpler than using not-that-best web html editor or writing everything by hand. With Markdown you get pretty simple syntax so you can simply concentrate on writing!

For the most Wordpress To Jekyll Exporter was good enough. It still required some handwriting and fixing, but in general conversion process was rather simple.

If you would like to start using Octopress check out this site: http://octopress.org/docs/. It explains all caveats when using this pretty amazing bloging framework.

Old site (WordPress based) is still available at: http://wp.ayufan.eu/
